Fine art

Visual interpretation
Painting
In the world of painting, the work that lands upon the canvas is only limited by what the brain is able to construct. Fine art has a certain freedom to create in whatever way suits the idea and where I don’t have to “stay within the lines”.
Illustration
By contrast, scientific illustration is defined by rigorous control of line, ratios, and counts. The final image is precise and describes an organism that is true to life.
Lateral Lines
A business where the two seemingly opposite endeavors of art and scientific illustration work together, and apart. Under this title falls fine art, illustration, science-based educational material, and research.
